Indoor Winter Season
Ok. I'm starting the chat up again. Some people on this team have expressed the desire to try out some indoor (not just me this time).
Who's interested in forming a team for that? who's Not?

Re: Indoor Winter Season
I'm interested, but would need to know a couple details before committing:
- where are games played?
- what days would we play?
- what are the possible times we'd play?

Re: Indoor Winter Season
I'd be interested. I tried to gauge interest on Frayser, but everyone was kind of "ehh". I'm down to play if you need a man. I need as many touches as I can get. We can use the black Puma alternates I have, so jerseys are no problem.

I've never played indoor, I'd like to try it but I'll need to know what day we'll play before I can commit.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
Where is it played, what times:
We'll play 7v7 at the BanCorp South facility in Southaven (3335 Pine Tar Alley, near the corner of Getwell and Goodman Road) at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm each evening.
Since we could possibly do Coed or Men's:
Coed Tuesday League: December 30th through February 17th (8 games)
Men's Thursday League (non premier league): January 8th through February 20th (8 games)
You must have a minimum roster of 10 players registered; roster maximum is 15 players. Player registration will be approximately $25-$35, and will include everything except referee fees.
There will be two referees at each match. Each team will pay one referee $20 cash before each match at the field.
We will keep a single binder of player cards and match reports at the facility, so you will not need to keep up with paperwork during the season. Coaches WILL need to submit a list of JERSEY NUMBERS for your team prior to the start of the season, as the match reports will be pre-printed by the league for use each week. (I will send an email to coaches the week before we start to request this information.) Every player must wear the same jersey number each week.

Or we could go to the Dulin's Academy league. (Cordova) But I've got no details on that league. I know Jason and Steve did it previously.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
Count me in. I'm willing to play either men's or co-ed. It looks like either facility, Cordova or Southhaven, is about equally as far from work for me, so I can play either; though my preference would be Cordova.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
Both are about 20 miles from where I live, just a little bit closer than Mike Rose...
I have played two games in the Cordova one. The game is shorter, 30 minutes per half, but it's non-stop (no out-of-bound). So it's not as easy as you may image.
Anyways, if you guys want to play, count me in. BTW: I will be in China from mid-December to mid-January.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
Doesn't matter which league (Southaven or Cordova), I'm in. I have plenty of mens jerseys for indoor, so as long as we know who is playing we will be fine on the locked in jersey #'s. I can just bring them to every game and wash them myself, so it won't be an issue who is assigned to what #.
I'll go ahead and get the jersey # and sizes together by next week.
Since it's 7v7, the only suggestion I can think of is getting at least 11 players. With 30 minutes halves non-stop, I can guarantee each game will have men out.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
So, right now I've got
Bashum
Feng
Bryan
Me
(I've got a friend that might play if in Southaven)
Indoor is definately a beast. You'll want the subs. So we're in need of at least 7-8 more in my opinion. Frank? We need superman! Bashum, ask the AC boys if they are interested.

Count me out, can't do Thursdays.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
From Steve:
Greetings from 1k on a 747 headed to hong kong. I am interested if we can get support and think we can be competitive.
Will be out for the next 2 games due to travel.
I also still owe the $35 and will pay as soon as I return. Sorry as I forgot on sunday to bring money and wasn't aware of it until recently.

From Jason:
So, if we go GMSA so far we have:
Jason
Bryan
Myself
Feng
Bashum
Steve
(Possibly my friend)
That's about 6 more people then was interested last year Let's keep it going.
I am in unless the games are on Friday or Wednesday night, then I am out.
By the way my U10 made the finals in a Jackson TN tournament and I did not leave Jackson until 7:00.

That is fine, I could use the money because the next two games will mostly be out of my pocket!

I'll front his fee and get it from him at work. So it's out of pocket less $35.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
From Jason regarding Dulins
So, we need females to play if we're going to Cordova.
It changes every year based on the amount of youth soccer teams join indoor. Dulin's is only Coed though.

Some of the girls from the coed team expressed interest in playing, I could definitely play on Tuesdays.

Ditto that. Also, I'm 28. CoEd open on Sundays is cool if we don't have enough willing to roll out to Southaven.
Just organize it and tell me who to pay. Once again, I can do jerseys if that's a problem.

Re: Indoor Winter Season
So the General Consensus is Dulin's, Indoor open Coed.
Here's the deal. To organize we gotta be fast. It's $650 (ref fees included) but the Dulin's guy I talked to on the phone said you only have to pay that before your last game or else its $750. The session starts a week from Sunday (Nov 2) Or do we try to get in on a January/Feb Session (Notice I do not know anything about a Jan/Feb session yet, just guessing that they would have another "Next Session" 8 - 10 weeks after the current one)
I have:
Jason
Bryan
Wass
Myself
Feng
Bashum
Steve
John C.
Which with girls taking two spots would be 5 players 3 subs, not bad, Need a keeper. Still trying to get Frank to play, maybe we can get Kat too!
I've heard rumors of girls on our Coed wanting to play. I"ll try to confirm who tonight.
Minimum 2 girls on the field each game. Hopefully 3-4 want to play!
